Muneebah Umar
Muneebah Umar is a junior biological sciences major with a pre-med concentration. She has been a part of numerous research projects during her time at MSU. She has conducted biomedical engineering research focusing on monitoring heart activity using non-invasive measurements of heart-induced vibrations on the chest surface. She was a co-author on a journal paper published in Bioengineering. Currently, she conducts biological anthropology research in the Department of Anthropology and Middle Eastern Cultures under Dr. Molly Zuckerman. Through this research she has traveled to collect skeletal data from the Hamann-Todd Osteological Collection and Robert J. Terry Anatomical Skeletal Collection. Furthermore, her research on health literacy has been published in Johns Hopkins' Macksey Journal.
